I've just finished off another set of interview questions for a friend who's about to publish a new book all about list building, and I'd thought I'd share one simple tip that has increased my confirmed optin rate by almost 10%...

When you create an optin form in aweber you have the choice of using the Java script code or the plane html version.

it makes sense to go with the js version as this allows more tracking information to be gathered in aweber, so you can see what the conversion ratio is, but...

there are now a LOT of people who use the FireFox browser and use additional plugins to add extra functionality.

one of the most common plugins will actually stop javascript code from being displayed in the browser, on the basis that it "might" possibly be harmful!

so these people won't be able to see the optin form itself and won't be able to enter their email address to sign up on your squeeze page...

it's a pretty simple problem to fix though, just set up another squeeze page that use the html optin code, and then have a note under the js version saying something like -

"NOTE: If You Can't See The Optin Form Above Please Click Here"

that then links to the html version.
